Lauren & Tom at The Aboretum
You may be wondering if this is a new wedding venue and I guess in a way it sort of is. Lauren and Tom had looked around on where to hold their reception for ages and then had the inspired idea of holding it within Lightwater Arboretum. A secret haunt for the dog walkers this a beautiful hidden treasure complete with lakes and fake ruins (but good fake ruins I must add). So Lauren and Tom got permission, got a marquee and had the makings of a wonderfully unique wedding reception. Styling the reception along the lines of an English country picnic guests were greeted with scones, cake and tea and then an evening hog roast.
The sweet table for the kids and no doubt the odd adult too
Napkin details
Excited bridesmaids love their dresses
I'm ready, a wink and a skipping rope in action, now there's something you wont see everyday
Tom awaits his bride
The long pretty walk up to the church
Our beautiful bride arrives
The service underway
One of the readings in the church
Couldn't resist posting this one again
The grandparents start the long walk back
And our couple are not too far behind
A lovely idea this one. Write your message to the couple and hang on the tree, building up a tree full of leafy messages to keep forever
Impromptu speeches get an interesting reaction
The sweet shop pulls in another one
Our lovely couple spend some time together in the arboretum
Back to the marquee, follow the path you cant go wrong
A great moment between friends
Absolutely love this shot
Throw it to me
And the band played on
