Louisa & Craig at The Berystede

My first post of the new year and what better way to begin than with my last wedding of last year. Louisa and Craig were married at St John Baptist Church in West Byfleet with their reception held at The Berystede Hotel in Ascot.

It was one of those overcast grey winter days with very flat but soft light, always a challenge. After the service everyone had some time outside the church and then made their way across to the reception. Having warmed up in the hotel with drinks, good food and great speeches the guests were in for one last surprise as the whole wedding party invaded the couples first dance as zombies, yes zombies, and then all them including the bride and groom proceeded to complete the Michael Jackson Thriller routine...some first dance!

Not many options outside at the hotel especially in winter but the ornate frontage makes a beautiful background
