Saturday's Wedding

Stephanie and William were married in the Holy Trinity Church in Church Crookham with a reception held at Rotherwick Hall near Hook. After a week of rain it was wonderful to see the sun again and the bride and groom and their guests made full use of it. Their full wedding story will follow but for now here's a look at Stephanie's lovely wedding shoes.

Rebecca & Mathew in Windsor Great Park

I am just a little bit behind in my wedding reviews I'm afraid but it does mean you'll get plenty of weddings to look at in the coming months.

This gorgeous wedding was held within Windsor Great Park at the Royal Chapel with a reception held a stones throw away in the Fox & Hounds pub. Not many couples are lucky enough to be able to marry at this chapel so it was great to be able to photograph this lovely celebration for Rebecca and Mathew. Rebecca's father picked her up in his own horse drawn carriage and Mathew was entrusted to take the reigns after the service and guide his new bride to the reception.

The couple had spent a lot of time making the pub garden feel like a real English picnic/fair. After a hog roast and speeches the couple and their guests rocked the pub till the early hours.

Saturday, Sunday and 200

Saturday's wedding was hosted by Buxted Park. The gorgeous Laura and Daniel were married in the Coat of Arms room and apart from the odd shower spent the day enjoying the sunshine and the lovely venue at what is one of my favourite wedding photographic locations. Their full wedding story will follow but for now here is a shot I captured of one of the little bridesmaids during the getting ready. Moments like these are what being a wedding photojournalist is all about.

Then on Sunday I photographed the beautiful wedding of Tamara and Alan at Oaks Farm in Shirley, Surrey. A real oasis on the outskirts of London with some lovely gardens and ceremony room and that real exclusively yours feeling. Again we were dodging the odd shower but a warm and windy day made this wedding a joy to photograph. Their full wedding story will follow and until then here is a picture of Tamara's dress awaiting it's beautiful owner.

So why 200? This is my 200th post since I started this blog back in October 2006, not an enormous figure I know but one I'm pretty proud of anyway.

Saturday's Wedding

Emma & Jean-Phillipe were married at the lovely Ufton Court in Berkshire on a warm if a little wet July day. Fortunately the rain managed to hold off until everyone was happily tucking into their hog roast, so the happy couple and their guests were able to enjoy the grounds and the games that had been laid on before the umbrellas were needed. This was a beautiful English French wedding with part two of the celebration taking place in France in August.

Their full wedding story will follow but for now here's a look at their cake with our lovely bride's dress in the background.

Saturday's Wedding in Winchester

On Saturday I photographed the lovely wedding of Shella & Matt at St Stephens Church in Sparsholt, Winchester, with their reception held in a nearby farmer's field. A big marquee was set up for the event and half the guests camped the night, even the bride and groom had a bridal suite tent set up for them. As ever their full wedding story will follow shortly but for now you can sit back and enjoy their first dance courtesy of YouTube and a guests camcorder.

Kerry & Alex wed in Dartmouth

The Royal Castle Hotel in Dartmouth hosted the fabulous wedding of Alex and Kerry on a stunning Summers day. Kerry got ready at the hotel and Alex made the short walk from the Dart Marina along the seafront to the service.

After a beautiful service the couple and their guests enjoyed some drinks and time outside in the Royal Avenue Gardens for photos and to take in the sunshine and views. Food and speeches followed with impromptu band accompaniment and then it was the short walk across the road to board the boat. We sailed down the river whilst everyone enjoyed the late evening sunshine and the band struck up the party. A wonderful wedding full of fun, sunshine, great guests and venue and above all a very much in love couple.
