The many faces of Rheya

Photobucket
Over the past few months my daughter has been going mad over getting face painting done and as you can see Katie's getting quite good at it now too.

Valentines Wedding

Photobucket
On Saturday I photographed the lovely wedding of Rachel and Nick in Oxford. After getting married in St Peters Church in Wolvercote their reception was held in The Tythe Barn in Bicester. I was fortunate to have my lovely wife Katie working with me on this day for romantics and it was a great way to spend valentines with a very much in love couple and their family and friends.

Being a romantic myself I could not pass up the opportunity to include flowers in this post as the bride had chosen some beautiful pink roses for her bouquets.

As usual their full wedding story will follow shortly.

Snow Days

Photobucket
Two days off school for the little ones and lots of trips to our nearest hill where I became the human stair lift. Great exercise though and I may have sneaked the odd downhill run during the course of the day or two.

Picture wise it was a day for the iphone. I was wondering how it would cope with exposing for the snow and lets face it the camera is not the stand out feature of the phone. It didn't do too badly actually but what I really liked about the pictures was that because the resolution is not the greatest they really do have that toy camera, Holga feel about them. With a little photoshop you can really embrace that look and feel. I'm not sure how one of my brides would feel with me brandishing an iphone and claiming it would look artistic but for trips with the kids it's certainly got me thinking.

Gone tobogganing...

It's not often the South of England gets covered in deep snow but as the country comes to a standstill, there's nothing left to do other than take the kids to the nearest hill and do some tobogganing.
