Claire & Dan's wedding at Wotton House

Todays update is from the beautiful wedding of Claire and Dan held at the gorgeous Wotton House in Dorking. Claire got ready at the Brookwood hotel which helped continue the car theme for the morning as a varied selection of Lotus's and Maserati's arrived to whisk the bride and her entourage to Wotton House. Once there the lovely couple celebrated a very personal and emotional wedding service in the Old Library (what a fabulous room this is!). Once wed it was outside to enjoy the sunshine and explore the vast grounds. Wotton House has some lovely features including grand views, a hidden cave and roman style temples, all of which made for some great picture opportunities. It was then onto the wedding breakfast followed by speeches and once complete everyone went back outside to enjoy the evenings cooler temperatures and all photographers favourite magic hour light. As the sun faded the dancing began to end a perfect day.

Jo & Alex's Wedding at Birling Manor, East Dean, Eastbourne

Todays update is from the beautiful wedding of Jo and Alex who were married at Birling Manor in East Dean, Eastbourne. Birling Manor is a lovely sprawling and rustic venue full of charm with views across the fields to the coastline. Jo got ready with her bridesmaids in a cottage just up the road with Alex waiting at the manor for her arrival. An emotional service followed in the barn and then it was outside for a long reception in the gardens complete with BBQ. It's always nice to see previous couples whose weddings I have photographed and I was delighted to be able to catch up with not one but two of them at this wedding. As the light closed in and after the food and speeches it was back inside the barn to begin the party in style.

AGWPJA Q2 Winner 2013

I was delighted to find out today that two of my images have won awards in the latest Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association quarterly competition. Both came 20th place in the Getting Ready and Reception categories. Some nice judges comments for the second image too.

Zoe & Sammy's Wembley, London Wedding

It's been a few weeks since my last wedding update on here so here is the lovely wedding of Zoe and Sammy. This was a beautiful wedding that was celebrated at the new Wembley Registration office right opposite Wembley Stadium. There is an amazing set of steps in here which is lit by huge glass windows so it almost feels like a giant daylight studio. After they were married it was back home to celebrate their newly wed status with family and friends, with every element of decoration and amazing cakes made entirely by the couple. A personal wedding in every way.
