The Love Bug

Can you think of a cooler way to arrive at your wedding than this? (I know my four year old couldn't).

On Saturday I photographed the beautiful wedding of Kate & Mark at Our Lady Help of Christians Church in West Byfleet with a reception held at The Englemere in Ascot. A VW Campervan escorted the bridesmaids, a stretch bug chaperoned the ushers and best man and an open top bug looked after the happy couple. Beautiful weather, a lovely venue and a fun loving couple helped make this a very memorable wedding day. Their full wedding story will follow on shortly.

Laura & Chris wed in the New Forest

After a rainy morning, the skies cleared and sunshine broke the grey to give Laura & Chris a lovely summer's day for their wedding. They were married in the beautiful Our Lady & St Edward Church in Lyndhurst which although small inside was very ornate and gave a lovely atmosphere to their service. On the way to the reception we stopped in the New Forest to create some unusual and beautiful shots of the couple. Their reception was then held at Brockenhurst College in a specially erected marquee just for this one time.

A beautiful wedding full of small touches and a lovely happy couple created lots of great photo opportunities for me throughout the day.

Tracy & Robert wed at Loseley Park

On a beautiful English summers day (yes they do occur occasionally) Tracy and Robert were married at Loseley Park. The girls got ready in a converted squash court in Shere, it's so much nicer than that sounds, with a beautiful conversion in large secluded grounds for the girls to relax and enjoy their preparations. The groom and the guests awaited at Loseley and after a moving ceremony and pictures in the drawing room the wedding party went out to enjoy the sunshine and gardens for the rest of the day.

Friday, Saturday

On Friday I photographed the beautiful wedding of Jemma & Mark at Taplow House Hotel in Buckinghamshire. Friends and family enjoyed a personal ceremony, my favourite moment of which was after Mark had said the words "I give you this ring" Jemma piped up with a "thanks". This set the tone of the day for a fun and very happy wedding.

To be going on with till their full wedding story appears, here's a shot of the couples wedding rings and best man's corsage.

Then on Saturday I was lucky enough to photograph the beautiful wedding of Vikky & Duncan at Stanwell Village Church with a reception held at the imposing Oakley Court Hotel in Bray. A rarely seen friend this year decided to grace the day with it's presence - namely the sun and the lovely couple and their guests made full use of it to make this a wedding to remember.

Vikky had some Jimmy Choo's so they had to make the teaser picture until their full wedding story appears.

Perfect Wedding - October 2008

I was delighted to discover that one of my weddings is featured in the current edition of Perfect Wedding. Layla & Dan were married at Cain Manor in Surrey on a lovely September day. Today is their first wedding anniversary so it's extra special for them to find their wedding having a five page feature in the magazine.

Happy Anniversary and congratulations to you both!

Sunflower wedding in Dover

Stephanie and Pete were married at a lovely Normandy church in Margarets at Cliffe, near Dover. After their service they held their reception in a converted barn on a local farm. An unusual setting but giving a wonderful and rural English countryside feel to their whole wedding. We even managed to have a stroll through some of the local fields that were covered with daisies and cornflowers. Giant sunflowers decorated the room and the bridal bouquet and after a hog roast and cake cutting the party was begun by the arrival of Elvis himself. I believe it was sometime before he left the building as the revellers enjoyed themselves until the early hours.
