New Website on the horizon

I have recently been working on a new improved website for my photography business and it is shortly going to go live. In essence, it is not a brand new build, more of a version two of the existing site. So it has a similar look and feel but has more features both on view and behind the scenes. Bigger pictures, more of them and this blog integrated within the website are a few of the new improvements.

When it launches I'll do a write up about the improvements but until then here are a few screen shots (the blended image is a slideshow in progress).

Kensington Roof Gardens

On Sunday I was lucky enough to shoot the wedding of the lovely Catherine and Julian at the amazing Kensington Roof Gardens. Six flights up above the high street and a hidden oasis lies complete with ornamental ducks and flamingos!

Catherine did not want getting ready pictures, so until their full wedding story appears here, I have chosen a shot of the wedding rings and cake to replace the usual shoe shot.

Claire & Ian's wedding in Denham and Great Fosters

More rain for a wedding day but once again the special event ignored the weather and left the lovely couple and guests with some fabulous memories of a great day. Claire and Ian were married in St Mary's Church in Denham which is their family church as it is right next door to where Ian grew up, so a very personal service was followed by a trip to the beautiful Great Fosters in Egham for the reception.

Although the guests could not enjoy the grounds to the fullest they were greeted with the site of a McLaren SLR parked up outside, a special surprise present from bride to groom (the couple work for McLaren) unfortunately for him it wasn't to take home but we made great use of the photo opportunity. After the food and speeches the band got the party going into the small hours.

Bit of a story with this one. I shot a portraiture shoot of the couple before their wedding and they used an image from that to create a bottle label so every guest had a personal memento of their day.

Wittering Bride

It seems that even when I'm having a break I stumble upon a bride. Whilst out with my family having a cold and wet walk along the beautiful West Wittering beach this happy bride ran past for some impromptu shots with her friends.

Couldn't resist grabbing this shot of her as after all it's not something you see everyday.

Perfect Wedding Magazine Feature - May 2008

I was very happy to find another of my weddings is currently being featured in the May 2008 issue of Perfect Weddings magazine. Charlie & Matt were married at Tylney Hall in Hook on New Years Eve, a great idea for a wedding date and even better when the groom has his birthday on the same date too. Three celebrations in one and now the lovely couple can celebrate having a brilliant keepsake of their special day too.

Sian & Steven wed in Englefield

St Marks Church in Englefield hosted the wedding of Sian and Steven followed by a reception held at The Old Mill in Aldermaston. After getting ready at home Sian was taken to the church in a lovely old Bentley and was greeted by her ushers with a canopy of umbrellas. The church is set in lovely grounds and after the service the couple had a quick wander to make the most of their surroundings and create some atmospheric pictures. Then it was off to the warm hospitality of The Old Mill to enjoy good food, company and a lively evening party.
