Katie & Mark's Wedding at Norwood Park, Nottinghamshire

Todays update is from the gorgeous wedding of Katie & Mark held at Norwood Park in Nottinghamshire. As this wedding was pretty far from home it was a long drive up avoiding the M1 on the Friday, ready for the wedding on Saturday. Katie got ready at home and finished her preparations at Norwood Park which is a really beautiful venue inside and out. We got pretty lucky with the weather with some nice sunshine gracing the critical moments of the day to make for some great photo opportunities. After a lovely service and reception it was onto the wedding breakfast and some very funny speeches. Cake cutting and dancing followed and judging by the fun loving spirit of all the family and friends the party could still be going on now.

Deborah & Ben's Wedding at The Elvetham

Today's update is from the beautiful wedding of Deborah and Ben held at The Elvetham Hotel in Fleet. Deborah got ready at the hotel with her bridesmaids and with the help of the talented hair and make up artist Claire Nicole (http://www.clairenicole.co.uk). Once ready it was down to the Oak Room where Ben awaited and they became husband and wife. The guests then lined up to cover the happy couple with confetti outside and explore the huge and beautiful grounds during the reception. The wedding breakfast and speeches were held in the Library and after the lovely first dance everyone rushed the floor for a ceilidh which I'm sure carried on well into the small hours!

AGWPJA Q4 Winner 2013

Delighted to say I have won another award with the Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association (AGWPJA). This was one of my favourite images of last year which makes it winning even better. The judges comment is something else too: "Never before has exhaustion looked so beautiful. The muted tones add to the tenderness of the moment".

Kathrin & Christian's wedding in Tegernsee, Germany

Todays update is the glorious wedding of Kathrin and Christian and took place in Tegernsee, Germany which I have to say is absolutely beautiful and well worth investigating as a holiday or short break destination. As with most overseas weddings there was a party on Friday night full of singing and dancing and then it was onto the big day itself. Kathrin got ready in a hotel that overlooked the church on the lake that she would later be wed inside. After their ceremony the lovely couple gave me wonderful photo opportunities by climbing into their speedboat and cruising off out into the lake, as journeys to your reception venue go this one has to be hard to beat. As they landed they were greeted by all their guests for the first of two receptions, this one by the lake and the evening one up in the mountains. A fabulous couple, amazing venues, great guests including a previous bride and groom (thank you for the recommendation Sophie) all made for a truly stunning wedding celebration.

Vicky & Jon's Wedding at Combe Manor, Hungerford

Todays wedding update is from the lovely wedding of Vicky & Jon which was held at Combe Manor near Hungerford. Vicky got ready in a Hungerford salon with all her bridesmaids and then made the short drive to Combe Manor. This is a real hidden gem of a venue that also boasts it's own church literally next door. Once the dress was on Vicky made the short walk in her wellies up to the church where Jon and all the guests awaited. It would be no exaggeration to say that the weather was not very kind on this day but this fantastic couple just embraced everything about their special day making for a wonderful winter celebration that was brim full of love and laughter.
